Historical Walk in Athens

Historical Walk in Athens

The proposed educational walk covers the period from the Revolution of 1821 up to the present day. This route has a great many historical elements, so in consultation with the responsible teachers we decide where and how much to focus.

We start from the Old Parliament where we discuss the Revolution of 1821 and the founding of the modern Greek state. We then walk towards Karytsi Square and learn about the significant historical events associated with it. We pass along Stadiou Street towards Panepistimiou and admire the Neoclassical Trilogy of Athens. We head up towards Syntagma Square, seeing Schliemann's house, and conclude our beautiful route.
